2007 Alternative Cycling Festival and OZHPV Challenge

The 2007 OzHPV Cycling Challenge was held at , Casey Fields, Cranbourne, Vic.
Saturday March 31, & Sunday April 1, 2007

    Event Program-Saturday March 31 2007, Clyde Public Hall

  • 4:00pm: Fuse Recumbents Concours d’Elegance (BYO dinner)
  • 6:30pm: Fuse Recumbents Technical Seminars. "The best bodies in Australian Cycling."
  • Rick Willowby- Human Powered Boat story
  • BYR - Pedal Prix racing trikes (The BYR trike recently AVERAGED 59.1km/hr in a 64km road race!)
  • Tim M and assoc.-Speedbikes from the “Kyle Edge” mould (aimed at over 130km/hr!)
  • Don Elliot-Development at Reflex Fairings
  • Ian Humphries-Development at Flying Furniture
  • Ben Goodall-Development at Tri-Sled
  • Michael Priest-Development at Fuse Recumbents/Greenspeed
  • 8:00-10:00pm: Trivia night. Overnight camping on the floor at Clyde Public Hall.

  • 8:30-9:30am Registration for competitors
  • 10:00am Raptor Designs Go to Whoa-Drag race then stop within a defined square
  • 10:30am Greenspeed 200m Sprint. Long runup, then timed over 200m (80km/hr excpected!)
  • 11:30am Flying Furniture one lap TimeTrial (approx 2.25km)
  • 12:00pm Typing 2000 Shopping Race-Pick up, carry and set down groceries-
  • (Lunch break)
  • 1:00pm D&H Enterprises One Hour Roadrace
  • 2:30pm Trisled Twin Slalom (two slalom tracks in parallel, 8 fastest into sudden death elimination final)
  • 3:30pm BricsCad Bush Bash off-track)
  • 4:30pm Awards presentation
